D&R Technology Inc headquartered in Mississauga, Ontario services the automotive industry, as a leader in the tube processing automation for the manufacturing of Automotive Seating components and IP Beam Assemblies.
D&R expects to double its revenue growth in the next 5 years through its strong engineering platform in addition to new projects and expansion, building on key customer relationships. A vital step in the growth of the organization in North America will be the hiring of the Senior Sales/ Product Manager.
The Role
Reporting to the President, this individual will represent D&R, delivering sales growth from new and existing customer accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
Generates sales opportunities with new and existing customers through a broad and diversified knowledge of the product line, its specialized applications, and its impact on performance.
Develops strong personal relationships with key customers to support them in the attainment of their business objectives.
Develops innovative technical solutions and concepts that achieve the customers' requirements and deliver a high return on investment for customers.
Prepares and presents information about the company and proposals to customers in the form of presentations and responding to request for proposals.
Deals effectively with all technical and sales situations; recognizes and copes with the variables presented in major account areas or in the more complex selling situations including the negotiation of commercial issues with customers.
Provides regular reporting to the President with respect to technical issues, sales, expenses, competitive intelligence etc. and makes recommendations as appropriate to improve the Company's performance and positioning.
Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
Career spanning at least 10 years in senior sales roles, ideally within the automotive and/or automation fields with demonstrated experience growing sales.
Strong technical knowledge of assembly and manufacturing operations of the North American automotive market.
Ability to work with minimum direction in varied situations that present themselves in the field.
It would be of value if the successful candidate brought with them existing customer relationships.
Education:
Ideally have an Engineering degree and have a combination of education and technical experience.
